The
Samsung Galaxy S6 is a flagship device that comes with Android 5.0.2
Lollipop operating system out of the box and ships with mind boggling
specifications. It features a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED capacitive
touchscreen having QHD (2560x1440 pixels) display resolution which
translates into a pixel density of 577 PPI. The QHD screen also features
a coating of Corning's Gorilla Glass 4 which ensures that your device
remain scratch-less.
In the imaging depot, As far as the camera is concerned, the Galaxy S6 Edge features a 16-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilisation and an aperture of ƒ/1.9. The new Samsung flagship has some advanced imaging options including Auto HDR, 4K video capture, dual video capture and IR white balance detection. It also has a 5-megapixel secondary shooter which can be used for clicking selfies and video calling.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a 64-bit Exynos 7420 chipset with 14nm architecture octa-core CPU that includes a quad-core CPU clocked at 2.1 GHz & another quad-core chipset clocked at 1.5 GHz. It has LPDDR4 RAM and 32 GB internal storage that can be further be expanded up to a whopping 128GB via microSD card slot.
It also has a fingerprint sensor that works on touch rather than swipe-based input, making it more like the Touch ID used by the iPhone 6. It also means that you'll be able to record an entire fingerprint making your device more secure.
Connectivity options include dual-band 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, LTE Cat 6, Wi-Fi hotspot, NFC, Bluetooth 4.1, A-GPS and an IR blaster. The device also comes with Samsung Pay, a smart wallet service that allows the handsets to act as a credit or debit card when tapped against a shop's NFC chip reader or used to transmit magnetic stripe data. So far, it is only limited to South Korea and the US. The phone houses a 2,550 mAh battery on board. The S6 Edge has fast charging option that is capable of four hours' power back-up in just 10 minutes apart from Qi (WPC) and PMA wireless charging support).

Samsung’s S6 phones will have a metal frame – like the iPhone.
The phones also have a glass back, which Apple dropped in favor of metal
in recent models.
The screen remains 5.1 inches, but the display resolution increases
to 577 pixels per inch, up from 432 in last year’s Galaxy S5. Although
the resolution of the phones’ rear camera remains at 16 megapixels,
cameras on both sides will have wider openings to let in more light and
make for sharper photos. The phones also promise better focus and color
accuracy – achieved in part by using the infrared capabilities on the
phones’ heart-rate sensor to detect lighting conditions.
