The 2015 Honda CB150R is essentially the naked version of the CBR150R and gets an aggressive design language among a host of other upgrades.

The CB150R Streetfire is very much the CBR150R without the body fairings and split seats. All its mechanical parts and frame are from the CBR. Since the CB 150R will be sold as a commuter bike, it will be getting a conventional seat. The new 150cc bike from Honda was first unveiled at the 2012 Jakarta Motor Show.

The Honda CB150R is powered by a150cc liquid cooled, single cylinder-4 stroke engine that we have already seen in the CBR 150R. Honda has made some modifications to the ECU to deliver higher amounts of torque at low revs. The 150cc engine can generate a peak torque of 13.1Nm while the maximum power figure stands at 18bhp. The engine is mated to a six speed manual gearbox.

Looking in to some of the interesting features of the CB150R Streetfire, it has a redesigned exhaust muffler which will help improve torque. Further the seat has been restyled to provide comfortable seating to the pillion rider Both the front and rear wheels get disk brakes.

The Honda CBR 150R is considered expensive and hence its sales have not been very encouraging. Since the new CB150R is based on the CBR, Honda must be extra careful when it comes to pricing.
